winter at tantora

Winter at Tantora is a new festival held in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, the location of a Nabatean ancient civilization (think Jordan's Petra, except not open to the public yet). Running weekends from December to March, it's an exclusive celebration pioneered by the Saudi Arabian government’s Royal Commission for AlUla. The festival caters to the uppers of the global upper echelon through cultural events and activities.

I assisted in redesigning the branding and also created an invitational booklet to be sent to forty of the worlds' top political leaders and royal families.

The client wanted us to keep the ancient aspect present, but communicate the upscale nature of the event. I did this by extracting characters from languages carved on AlUla’s caves and choosing tracked out type. I created a clean design to really shed light on the event itself through the incredibly lush pictures of the festival.
